This is a good thread, thought it would create a lot of decent opinions and humour, and it has even got Brighton and Palace fans intergrating!!

I have thumbed down(only as you asked),for it.....really? i have come to this thread hoping for binfestery....
One more thing, and I'm not criticising whoever runs the Palace BBS site as I know first-hand that running a busy forum is largely a complete pain in the arse, and decisions are made in good faith based on what you believe to be right to keep things moving along smoothly.
It seems the BBS way of dealing with nearly all away fans is to immediately restrict their rights so they can only post in the 'away end'. This is a quiet backwater of the site that pretty much no-one ever visits, as has been so well illustrated on this thread:
If people take the time to register on a forum, I think they deserve a chance to join in with the community properly. If they are anti-social, they get warnings. If they are really anti-social they are told to leave. I think this is a far more respectful and, dare I say it, grown-up way of dealing with people of all supporting persuasions.
If someone gets really upset about a post because the username associated with it is "CPFC 3 - 0 BHAFC", but they wouldn't mind the same post from user "BHAFC 3 - 0 CPFC" they they have bigger issues than an internet messageboard.

It is hardly my fault that you are inept. You obviously find it perfectly acceptable that posters such as "dougie"..the well known Palace troll...sends totally unsolicited four letter tirades via Pm to me. Let me assure you that I don't find it acceptable...or your pathetic reasonings for taking no action against him.

Does he? Do I? Abuse and threats in private messages is not acceptable from anyone. But as the messages are, as the name suggests: private, the user receiving any such threats should use the report option that is on each and every private message to flag up the abuse to a moderator so action can be taken.
I can find no record of you ever having done that which, being honest, doesn't really surprise me.
