Anyone got a Now TV box? Looks like a decent option for someone like me that just wants to watch the odd match here and there. is it really as good as it sounds?

The standard box is great for catch up tv and a few apps. The £10 sky sports day passes look alright, but you might be able to find a live stream for the game anyway.

We have one, works really well. You can just go on line and add or cancel at any time. The only slight problem is the quality is not great! But well worth it. My kids have one at their house as well and use my account. You can have 2 viewing at the same time, so great value. I have never used it for
the Football, cant get the kids off the thing. My boy also has it on his phone.

I believe that is a special offer price they have been doing, it's due to go up at the end of the month (£16 for the weekly pass).

Limited Time Offer: Sky Sports Day Pass and Sky Sports Week Pass pricing available for limited time only and until 27 November 2014.

I've got one - used to use the TV and Film add-ons before we decided that Netflix was superior for that - we still use it for things like iPlayer/4OD etc. Also if there's something we want to PPV for as well.

They're ok- they're just branded Roku boxes really, so trying to put other apps on them has to be sideloaded on, which isn't too hard once you've done it once (I have Plex installed on mine so I can stream movies/TV from my computer if I want).

It's not a bad investment.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go. Not a bad price for the odd albion game on tv. Streaming is pretty hit and miss and would rather have a reliable picture and sit in comfort on the sofa.

I used it for the Bournemouth match. It was £6.99 which is a special offer at the moment. Worked a treat. Also used it for our play off away match and it cut out at a vital point during one of the other games on that day and I got a complete refund without even asking for one.

Is there a site you'd recommend with plex installation instructions?

We have it, got three months Movies free and paying for the Entertainment pass monthly for the boxsets. Works really well and it's nice having it on the TV upstairs so I can use Youtube in a decent size screen without getting up :) Don't know that I'd call the Sports passes worth the money though.
