Following the success of the recent one day side how much would you change the team for the up coming test matches.

I was finally impressed with the wicket keeping and to an extent the batting of Chris Read and would keep him in for the tests.
Solanki seems to much of a one-dayer for the tests.
Would you bring Thorpe back into the side or are there other batsmen worthy of a chance?

Hers my eleven...

Trescothick
Vaughn
Butcher
Hussain (c)
McGrath
Flintoff
Read (Wk)
Giles
Gough
Anderson
Harmison

Wouldnt have Mcgrath in the test team as his batting and bowling isnt up to it, definitely recall Thorpe as we're not good enough to leave out our best player and would like to see Read included but cant see that happening until the Bangladesh tour. Gough needs to play some 4 day stuff and it would such a shame to see him rushed back, get injured and then miss more 1day internationals.
Hussain has proved his form in recent weeks and although everyone wants to see Vaughan in place a series win over SA would be a fitting way for him to go out

Id go with

Trescothick
Vaughan
Butcher
Thorpe
Hussain
Flintoff
Read
Giles
Johnson
Harmison
Anderson

Titanic...spot on mate.

My only real reservation about this team is Ashley 'Wheely bin' Giles - not world-class and probably never will be - but I guess he is the best option we've got at present.

The left-right batting line-up looks sound to me.
Bowling with 2 quicks, a swinger + Flintoff + AJ and then occasionals including Vaughan, and Butcher seems OK too.

Too far from the sun
I would ask the selectors to include as many Surrey players as possible and no Sussex players thus increasing our chances of taking the County Championship for the first time ever

I can't be bothered

i'd def play Solanki now, prob number 4.

I'd also give Read a chance- he's done enough IMHO.

Im looking foward to paul franks finding his form with the ball- an exceptional talent whose forgotten how to bowl but is now averaging 50 with the bat!!

SWEET!!
