9th wicket partnership = adds a plausible 100 runs
10th wicket partnership = 54 runs unbroken

...might be worth trying to hold out for the draw at this point...

Realistically, once Yorkshire got a lead of over 225 we were struggling, once it went over 250 we were doomed.

These players clearly don't believe anymore, questions have to be asked about how the management have got the batting side so wrong - not just this season but for the past two or three seasons. I feel sorry for the bowlers who have had virtually no help whatsoever from the batsmen for the best part of 5 months.

Bet365 have stopped taking bets on this game, ffs Yorkshire were 1/25 a minute ago, free money :(

Spot on, it's been a accident waiting to happen for at least 2, maybe 3 years. Yes, we have a ridiculous number of injuries to our bowlers this year but our poor batting meant we were treading a tightrope as it was.

Time to move on from Robinson.

Will be good to play some different teams next year, challenge for promotion and spend some time being more positive about our players as they enjoy relative success in the easier waters of Div Two.

Best explanation I heard about the effect of the two divisions was that the bottom 4 in Div One and the top 4 in Div Two are not usually that different in standard but as a decent Div Two team you get 6 fixtures at this standard plus 10 other fixtures against the weakest 5 counties. These are where you find a world of difference - e.g. contrast Yorkshire's attack in this game with that of a Div Two basement outfit.

Two or three years ? Let,s face the club never replaced like for like when the likes of Goodwin,Lewry,RMJ,Kirtley etc all retired ok Mushy was almost impossible to replace but why did we sign Jon Lewis last season ? McGoffin has carried the bowling attack almost on his own and maybe it,s time Sussex looked at the Hampshire model and give their 2nd team youngsters a go ?

However has it not changed to only one promotion place next season?

If Zaidi were ever to get the chop from Sussex he could always go into business as a Turd Polisher.

Sad thing is if the top order had shown any fight we could well have done this. Unfortunately they were shite as they have been most of the season. Relegation will be good for us in the sense that we will get rid of Robbo and a fair few others who are past their sell by date.

Are there hordes of better coaches than Robbo queuing up to take the job then??
