The problem with a certain left leaning persuasion is they have always associated supply-side reform with reducing the power of the trade unions. Anything linked to it is therefore bad.
Still no link to Boris saying getting rid of these rights…………surely it cant be that hard.
All depends if you think Chlorinated chicken is bad for you....The EU dont think the chlorinating is bad for you.......but im sure you knew that

The irony is that Thatcher would never have left the EU irrespective of her constant grumblings and would have definitely not gone for a referendum. She hated them.
To her the free market was everything and she would have enjoyed watching that market stretching it's boundaries into the old communist block.
If alive today she would just continue being a thorn in the side of those wanting more political integration.
Unfortunately Thatcher's views were far more nuanced that those claiming to inherit her vision.
The mistake remain made was not making more of the fact that Thatcher was one of the EUs main architects.
To her the free market was everything and she would have enjoyed watching that market stretching it's boundaries into the old communist block.

Not sure that's accurate. According to Charles Moore, her official biographer Mrs T did think we should leave she also told other people the same.

Looking at the noises coming out of Brussels about her softer Brexit plan I think you're probably right. But then why would they budge. Elements in parliament have been doing the EU's job for them ... insisting the red lines dissolve and making it clear they would accept any deal the EU would offer rather than leave with no deal. I was always hopeful a deal could be made but looking at where we are now a no deal is looking distinctly possible.
The usual suspects would probably welcome the belated preparations as it theoretically shows we are prepared to walk away and not just bend over and take any scraps.
Not revelling but it would be ironic if we ended up with the hardest possible Brexit thanks to a combination of EU intransigence and Remain manoeuvrings in parliament.
Yes, the sound of a bomb going off in business and peoples livelihoods if this happens. Not funny at all, but this what we get from leavers - leave at any cost "as long as we get our freedom".

He knows what this means as well as anyone, he thinks he is being clever by insisting the exact wording you used was not a verbatim quote, but within a couple of pages he will take another post and derive a twisted meaning from it and argue against his own twisted interpretation.This happens whenever he is caught out, he will get pedantic and try and switch the argument to the tiny detail, such as Boris didn't say the exact words, he will not pop up with an alternative interpretation, because there isn't a logical one.
