The pies at the Amex are great. The sausage rolls are off the scale.

Jo brought an 18" long sausage roll to Radio Reverb on the opening day of the season. Bob Booker had wolfed most of it before any of us got a look-in.

I can vouch for that, it was magnificent.

I managed to inhale a good 8 inches of warm solid PORK with El Presidente that morning. It barely touched the sides. Brian Owen joined in as well.

THAT sounds like a scene from some porn movie.

You must have a one-tracked mind.

Oh, and something I forgot to mention. Jo's giant sausage roll was also infused right under the pastry, with CHUTNEY. And by jove it works.

I do not consider the pies to be very good and certainty not VFM however I have not tried the sausage rolls but will do so at the next game if available. The best sausage rolls I have ever tasted, IMHO, are sold at Walkaway Coffee Shop in The Martlets Burgess Hill. Although I had a very good one yesterday as my wife made a sausage, Onion and Stuffing pie with herbs and spices in it and with the left over pastry and sausage meat she made 2 large sausage rolls for me for football instead of my usual sandwich..

Best sausage rolls I've ever tasted but they don't seem to be on sale in most areas. Ive never seen them in WSL but they are usually on sale in the east corner of the north stand after the game. Anyone seen them in WSL so I could buy one before the game?

Alternatively you always have a pre game sausage roll from St Leonard's, I've heard they're very good :)

It was probably the greatest sausage roll EVER.

About £4.30 I believe. They are tasty but I can't justify that much on a smallish sausage roll.

Small? I think they have an impressive girth.

Why anyone would think that the fayre on offer is superior to anything else, and then pay a premium price for it is beyond me.

Average at best, overpriced definitely.

Piglets were superb in the first couple of seasons but recently the quality has dropped DRAMATICALLY.

Yesterday I had a lukewarm (at best) chilli pie that seemed to have a top crust manufactured from cardboard with the sides lovingly crafted from play-doh that had been left on the table for too long.

Not great.

Agree with this, the last couple i have had have been poor, dry with a lack of filling. The standard is nowhere near as good as the first few years.

However, if anyone spots one of these mythical sausage rolls in the East Lower and from whence it came, please let me know!

To be fair its a huge chunk of sausage meat with a small amount of pastry.

Not how a sausage roll should be in my opinion.

Anyone know where they sell the fish n chips saw few people with some in north stand in their seats. I ended up with a lovely chicken, gammon and leek pie mind you that was only due to burgers and hot dogs sold out in north
