I can never really get too wound up about opposition teams wasting time, as let's face it, we do exactly the same in the reverse situation, Stockers getting booked for it last week against Brum for example. Yes, it's bloody frustrating, and Charlton were pretty bad yesterday doing it after about 15 minutes, but me-h, it happens all the time.

This.

Pretty sure 99% of us who play or have played football competitively, have wasted time at some point.

On a recent tour of Plymouth Argyle as part of the match day sponsors day out we was with an ex ref.
When the board is held up it is only a guide to the ref. If more time needs to be added on since the board goes up then the ref can add on as much time as he wants. He may even disagree with the board and play less or more time as he sees fit.
So always blame the ref if you don't agree.
Also when the subs take place, let's use 22 & 18 as an example, they do not press 2 & 2 and the 1 & 8, they have to press the
button 22 times and 18 times respectively, that is why there is sometimes a lot of confusion in the tech area when subs are coming on, even worse when the change 3 players.
