Bloom had no intention of sacking any of the managers that he's employed. Gus decided his own fate, Oscar and Sami both decided to walk. Bloom has a more enlightened view about football management in that, if he decides that someone is the right person he will give them enough time to show it. This will be a lot more that 6 months or until they lose a few games. I honestly believe that he won't be too fussed about a relegation if, in his opinion, this will ultimately lead to a stronger team and manager.

I think that us fans will need to get used to this approach or there will be several of us with unnecessary heart attacks or strokes.

Even with the biggest attendances and some of the most expensive tickets we rely on player sales to meet ffp. Not all clubs had to. Perhaps we should look at a different ceo.

Great effort by Barber reducing costs by £5m. Of course that has to be considered in the context of the completely bloated animal the club had allowed itself to become prior to that though. Astonishing really that successful businessmen allowed it to happen and then shell out big salaries to reign it in. Also a shame we'll have lost around £2.5m in reduced attendances this year; of course that will have been absolutely nothing to do with Barber....

He has appointed the best bean counter in the footballing world to run things on a financial level and this seems to take precedent over anything else. We will be a great business over the coming years but will win nothing until we get someone who knows football and the risks you have to take if you want to win things. In the coming years noddy outfits like Bournemouth will become financially sound due to gambling for a stint in the prem and we will be sorted by just making money and having mid table seasons with a couple of cup runs.

Unfortunately all the money went on players that couldn't score for toffee and are giving us the fright of our lives. So what do you do then ? (Sack the blokes who recruited them, get in some replacements...and pray that next season will be better). But why do you think we didn't ?
Just because Bournemouth or Burnley or Leicester or Palace or Brentford have done well or were promoted in previous seasons (all with budgets less than ours) is unfortunately not necessarily based on how much they spent on wages and fees . If only it was as easy as that.
