Ran the Martello triple challenge half marathon earlier. Started on seaford seafront then through Bishopstone up to Firle beacon and along to Bo Peep on the SDW before turning back towards the coast and into seaford. The first 7 miles are tough going with what seemed to be a largely unbroken climb eventually peaking at Bo Peep. The following 6 miles was then a pleasant downhill but couldn't get any pace going as the first 6 had zapped all my energy. Difficult to escape the sun in an unbroken sky but the views were fantastic and a very picturesque route. I came home in 1:50 and was told unofficially I was 10th out of no more than 60 odd runners. Very low key, friendly and great fun.

Excellent time on the escarpment on a hot day. Sounds a good little event.
I've been going since 5am today..............

Awesome, prob won’t do another 5km for a while due to kids football coaching commitments. Maybe will do the launceston half in about 3months time and get a time in for that, then maybe Burnie 10 as well. Will prob do Lonnie 10 next year, fastest 10km in Aus so they say, super flat and fast.

Worthing's 100th parkrun next saturday so that's a definite target for me and I'm going to try and topple big nuts in the NSC league table. Artie Fufkin, I'm coming for you too fella... eventually!

A very pleasant 1 hour, 7 mile run this morning for me. Nothing special, just a nice plod up Benfield Valley and then down from the Dyke trail and through the woods of Woodland Drive. I saw what looked a particular popular event in Hove Park, it looked comparable to the parkrun numbers but they were running in reverse. I'm going to look up what that was about.

Also good to see Greg Bobkin (twice!) motoring along on his bike. It looked to be a regular bike but the speed he was going makes me think it must be electric. [emoji106]
Not sure about that, especially heading up to Devil's Dyke! Fell short of my 50-mile target, but I did manage the 10 mins running off the bike (just over a mile [emoji44])...

Well done for your run - some good performances over the weekend.

The run in the Park today was the WSFRL fixture - Arena 80’s event in the league calendar. 5.7km from memory (3 big laps rather than 2 big and and small I think).

Good that you seem to be slowly getting back, good you'll be on holiday but would have been better if you could have made it. Next year!

Alas, I was reminded earlier that I'm going to be somewhere in the midlands on the 20th, I'm going to a mystery gig with a friend of mine - I have no idea who I'm seeing, or where I'm seeing them. The gig is that night, otherwise I'd have left on the thursday instead. Sad times, I've now missed two staple races this year, Worthing 10k and Weakest Link.

Did a 20 mile walk for a change today from the Tiger Inn at East Dean taking in various parts of the SDW- didn’t see Penny’s harmonica or anyone else in that event.

In other news it was the Endure 24 this weekend- a running festival where you enter teams, pairs or solo to complete as many laps as possible in 24 hours. One of the women from our club won the female solo category running 110 miles!!!

Gutted to be missing out at what is probably my second favourite event of the year. Have a good time and good luck beating the Hornets, gaffer. I look forward to reading all about it and will definitely be back in 2019.

I cannot remember who was the third NSC runner with us in year 1. It was him and the sub 17 arena spare. We were the Super Ego team then! How the mighty are fallen.

Apologies to the Third Man, who were you?

Edit It was Ninja Elephant. First race he'd woken up for......
