Probably onside.
The left back is stationary and CMS is sprinting in. The linesman did a great job to keep up with play and would have seen the two players level (onside) at right angles and made the correct decision.

He was onside without a doubt. You only have to look at the position of the ball and the position CMS is in to realise that CMS timed his run to perfection.

Silly me. That proves he's on side as the original picture shows CMS near the 6 yard box and the ball is 6 feet from the players foot so draw that back and you have your still which proves he's onside.

Inside,Onside,Offside,Backside....who cares...it's the scores on the doors.(Well table...) that count..
From the pitch markings and the line in the grass he looks level with the ball so no off-side.

Correct and if i could work out how to post video i would show you that clip re CMS being shoved
If you look a few frames later the ball is in front of his feet, just before he hits it.

I'd bet anything if that was a Bolton player and he had scored against us, 95% of people on this thread would have an opposite view.
