Does anyone want to run Brighton Marathon but does not yet have a place? REMF have a spare charity place going. If you do (or you know anyone in your club who would) I can PM you the details. Cross-posted from running thread,

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried a sport's injury specialist? They can work miracles.

cant afford to pay for anything, as im not earning obviously

Completed Watford Half in a pb time of 1 hour 39, happy with that particularly as some of the hills are absolute *******s so that should be quite an improvement over a flat course.

Any marathon runners this weekend?

Any new marathons entered?

How's the training going?

(After today's miserable footie score we need a change of topic)

16 mile progression run booked in for tomorrow morning at SIX a.m. meaning I need to get up at FIVE. This is so I can fit it in and still get to Heathrow in time to meet a very old friend from the States. This is the sort of thing I used to consider madness but I'm actually really looking forward to it!

I'm too booked in for 16 miles tomorrow, but getting more and more tempted to take an early finish from work tomorrow and run the distance around 4pm tomorrow.

If i do go out tomorrow I'll certainly be heading in land when running westerly.

Yep, I'm doing the Hove to Lancing return loop run, heading back with the wind. Anything else would be actual madness.

Considering Hove to Ovingdean then up to the Falmer Road past the Amex and through Coldean. Will then go to Carden Ave before the hill up past Withdean onto Dyke Road. The Droveway, Hove Park and home. I reckon that's about 16 bang on.

Gentle 14 for me. Considering Hove-Shoreham-track by Adur-SDW up to Truleigh Hill-Devils Dyke-Down to Sainsburys-home. Wind assisted hills is the master plan.

Tunbridge wells half for me. Hopefully far enough in land to avoid the worst of the wind. Getting my excuses in early, but as usual I have had a heavy cold in the week before.

Good luck with that tomorrow. Just be looking at the race details, looks good. Great reviews on Runners World praising the scenic and hilly course.

Pah! All you wind dodgers. I've got 18 miles planned, Shoreham-by-Sea to Marina and back (plus a bit), along the seafront.

You never know, there might be strong south-westerlys on race day 😂
