Was it on Match of the Day? I have a feeling it was. 1-1, McNeill for them with a blatant handball. We all know who scored for us.

I didn't see many games that season as I had a Saturday job in Waitrose. Next season however....

Not sure about MOTD but Wardy scored after 50 seconds and went on to score 6 in 8 games by the end of the season.

I can remember feeling outraged that Taylor could drop Fred and play an unknown from the reserves. Didn't last long though.

You must be confused football only started in 1992. He could probably still do a job in the current team with the pace (or lack of) we play.

It was definitely on MOTD. That was my second away game (10 years old) and remember the cameras being there but we couldn't get back from Hereford in time to watch it.

I was exactly 5 months old that day so missed out on all the excitement of the late 70's early 80's. My first game was in 1984, typical. On the plus side im not yet in my 40's
