Used parkonmydrive.com last year. Ten minutes walk for £5.

Probably took a good 30 minutes after we got back to the car to get moving properly.

You can always park in Altrincham and get the tram

For last seasons game I used the app ‘JustPark’ and parked on someone’s drive about 5 mins walk away for the evening. Cost a tenner.

Only trouble with that was upon returning to my vehicle it had mysteriously gone back in time to 1982 to blend in with it's surroundings

Just park in the city centre and walk. Safest and you'll be able to drive straight out afterwards. Can't see the point leaving it closer - you'll get stuck and the area round the Etihad isn't great.....
