So the money paid week in week out by fans for tickets, merchandise, food etc has made no contribution? - don't be silly!

The shares being offered are of purely nominal value, by all means value them at 1p each if that is what you believe they are worth, but don't stop fans from holding them which is simply what the existing shareholder who is trying to block their sale is doing.

We were leaking money at Withdean hence the alive & kicking and forty note funds. Everyone owes a massive debt of gratitude to one person only every home game from 3 years ago who thankfully is a fan of the club. That said fan also has the right to what he decides he wants to do as money talks.

Money can do many things but it cannot buy you love.

Yes 'money talks' - there is however one hell of a difference between the right to do what you want because you have the money and whether or not what you want is right.

The proposed sale of shares to fans by DK is neither here nor there as far as TB's wealth or standing is concerned so what's topping him from coming out and supporting their sale? ???

If it was 290 shares being sold to 290 fans for £1 each this issue wouldn't exist.

Because the dispute has nothing to do with TB.

Quite probably because he is happy with the number of share holders we have as he has the majority and also perhaps he does not want to see what vast sums he pumps into this club.

What a kerfuffle about a PR man using a ploy to sell his book, which probably wouldnt have sold many copies otherwise. The big issue surely is if DK sold 290 shares to 290 different people they, as shareholders, could attend the company AGM and cause trouble if they so desired.

Nonsense. I bought the book because I wanted to read it, not because I was interested in any shares, and I know plenty of others who did the same. The book sold in thousands but just 270 showed an interest and quite a few of those wanted them as presents for others. A very very small minority couldn't cause trouble at an AGM with such a small number of shares.

Never claimed it has - a lot of things have nothing to do with TB but that doesn't mean he can't express an opinion!

Would have thought that if 'Unnamed Director offer £0.01 per share' then he'd have to at least run it past TB and the board first, or risk becoming an Unnamed Ex-Director.

So what is the realistic difference between 290 shares being sold and 100,000? - Unless of course you begrudge DK receiving a little 'windfall'. There is no practical difference that I can see.

El Presidente has already posited a credible reason - in post #174 - where he says,

".....Perhaps it's not the 'club' blocking the sale, but another existing minority shareholder who is unhappy at DK getting £1 a share?

The other investor, who stuck his hand in his pocket during the days before Tony Bloom when it was a knife edge whether the club would survive, is not being offered £1 a share, and feels resentful, therefore has invoked the Articles of Association."

The implication of El P saying "If it was 290 shares being sold to 290 fans for £1 each this issue wouldn't exist." is that the other shareholder wouldn't have an issue if it were a purely nominal number of shares being traded at an inflated price (by normal valuation models). The fact that it is 100k shares is what the issue is - is what El P is implying.

All of which is an entirely credible proposition and all of which is absolutely nothing to do with TB, if that is what is happening.

They could easily provide nuisance value by continually asking questions.

Even you must be able to see this was a deliberate move by DK to be a nuisance because TB who allowed him to be chairman as long as it suited him, then moved him when it mattered.

Even me? DK said he always intended fans to have some shares before Tony Bloom was ever capable of becoming the chairman. Maybe you should read the book?

Good job DK didn't take that attitude iro Bill Archer.

There is clearly some petty vendetta going on here against DK. As others have said, TB should make it clear where he stands on this matter
