just thinking, why does Sven get 3.5 million a year and clive woodward gets 150k? england football havent done anything great for a good while now, but the rugby team are doing really well! 3.5million against 150k, its ludicrous! i suppose sven has got more media pressure, but 3.5 million is quite a lot to coach football dont you think?!?

balshaw is shit and doesnt deserve to be in the squad.

As his try obviously showed, picking up a hard ball, going inside two then gassing their winger and full back on the outside..as a winger myself I can say this try was class. Agreed I dont think he will, or deserves, to start. But a good squad member as he can play full back or on either wing and is a good line breaker.

he's no where near as good as either simpson-daniel or garvey at gloucester. s-j is far more versatile too. and another thing, balshaw is an ok winger cos he has pace but he is awfull at full back.

p.s explain that drop from the high ball then?? followed by the 'oh, im injured' dive??!

He was class pre lions tour, then had a nightmare etc. Ok, so he dropped a high ball, Cohen dropped a simple pass when a try was on (from our own twenty two) but hs still quality. Balshaw will be used as a winger because Lewsey or Robinson will play full back. He creates more and is a better finisher then Simpson daniel and his defence is awsome, as porved by that last ditch tackle yesterday in Cohens corner. heard good reviews of the Gloucester bloke but cant bring on an inexperienced player in a tough world cup game.

its was very lame of him, as stuart barnes said, ben cohen would have got that ball every time

simpson daniel is way too small and cant tackle, he needs some first team cinfidence so in a few years we will see simpson daniel making the big hits like ben cohen and running through tackles like ben cohen does well

simpson daniel is without doubt the most intelligent and natrually gifted rugby player ive ever seen and will, maybe this year, move into either the centres or fly half.

garvey is injured unfortunately but is quicker than anyone in the england team and as exciting a player as will ever play for england- this kid isnt quick for a rugby player, he's quick for a hundred metre sprinter!!

anyway, opinions huh??!

and sammy, s-j isnt that small and can tackle, his problem at the mo is that his positional sense aint great because he is actually a fly half!!

he will never be a cohen type player.
