3) And my favourite was sitting in a deck chair on the beach when a bloke dressed as a Dalmatian sat next to me, said hello with a thumbs up, and just sat their for about 30 minutes sunning himself as though there was nothing out of the ordinary.

Very surprised by that have drunk in Bexhill more than a couple of hundred times without exaggeration, other than possibly being number 3 the other 2 did surprise me and think you were very unlucky as its normally a nice quiet drinking town

Considering the venues they've recently played or will play (Sydney Opera House, Bilbao Guggenheim, Berlin Neues Museum, RAH, The Frank Gehry designed Louie Vuitton building in Paris) it's a bit of a come down.

Still, Kraftwerk on your door step? To simply be in the same room as Ralf Hütter is enough for me.

yes I am sure the Albert Hall will be a better experience but as HT says - Kraftwerk in Brighton - I will end up going to that as well.

Saw Nick Cave at The Brighton Centre on a Sunday night and once he got going I forgot where I was. Hoping for a similar experience if I am successful in getting a ticket.

I just came on this thread to post 'Did anyone see Girl Band at the Haunt?' Excellent - definitely one of the most exciting new bands around. Must have felt like that seeing Nirvana in their early days...

The Haunt. however, remains one of the worst venues in the country. Surely Brighton can do better?

It was a shame - he had done goodwill, but spent it all and then became somewhat overdrawn. Lovely gig though - their harmonies are always spellbinding. Mimi looked, as usual, like she'd had a massive row before taking the stage.

Didn't catch them last night but have seen them 3 times. Even at this early stage, they were ones to watch - https://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/jan/16/girl-band-dublin-quartet-review and they've got progressively better since.

Glad to see them playing again after health problems. I understand the signer also wore a Lunar Quiet T-Shirt on the request of the promoter as a tribute to Tom Knights of said local band who sadly died a few weeks ago, I'm pretty sure they were originally booked to support the show.

The layout of the Haunt is a nightmare if it's full, the beer is shite and the early curfew is a drag. On the plus side it's rare the sound there isn't top notch in my experience.

Re Kraftwerk, does anyone have any ideas (or experience) as to whether it's better to go to the box office at 12 tomorrow or try online?

I phoned the box office but got a strange response, along the lines of 'We have tickets but there might be more people in the box office as there is a live show on that night and you would clutter it up, try at home as there are only 3 of us...You are bound to get them online' ??
