Some great individual performances in this test for England but Mooen Ali's bowling improvement is incredible. World class spin from him throughout the series.

Get shot of Jennings, Hameed in. Hopefully Dawson never plays for England again aswell.. Average spinner, at best.

Seth African batting has been very ordinary but you can only play what is put before you.
A good result when the English top order is clearly still in need of sorting out but the middle order and bowlers are top notch, when Woakes comes back will be even better.

I agree that Saqlain deserves a lot of credit. Yes, Jennings needs to be dropped and reflect on where he needs to improve, although I don't see that Hameed has earned a recall at this particular time. I'd give Stoneman a shot for now. As for Dawson, he can do one.
Against Derbyshire (8th in CC Div 2)... might as well be on the village green.

Who do you suggest to make the step up as the obvious ones have been tried and failed. I do not think Hales is the answer either FWIW?
Cook and Haseeb Hameed to open, Root at 3, Ballance at 4, Stokes/Bairstow/Woakes at 5/6/7, Ali, TRJ (or Finn or Wood), Broad, and Anderson.
