You do realise that this is being subsidised by the Labour Party BAME group yeah? If yeah, whats your objection to that?

No one is subsidising the white working class, that’s what’s wrong with it.

The Labour movement was born out of an objective to unite the workers, and working class.

If the poor British BAME working class now get subsidies from the rich BAME membership in the Labour Party to the detriment of the poor British white working class then the labour movement (as it stands) are taking a great big shit on the aims of its founding fathers.

It says a lot that you and others can’t see this, but it is exactly why Labour are losing that constituency of voters. From someone who is ideologically socialist I find that incredibly sad, and let’s not pretend this is an exception either.

Crikey, what desperation to turn to Brietbart to try to make a feeble political point, still it will please the swivel eyed, frothing at the mouth Daily Mail readers on here.

When will people learn, all discrimination is positive if it works in your favour or negative when it doesn't either way it is discrimination .

I feel sorry for anyone dull enough to attend such an event, not unlike some stage managed evangelical fundraiser where the “flock”are literally fleeced of their hard earned money! And then to have to pay to get in, literally pmsl!

Positive discrimination as a method for addressing imbalances is always going to cause arguments. It's a hotbed.

Personally, I feel it's a shot in the arm needed. That said, it doesn't feel fair to those that feel they are - and are in the short-term - losing.

Perhaps they might like to have positive discrimination in the interviewing process of the teaching profession or nursing as I don't see many men in those industries ,or would that be discrimination .

They have and do for Primary school teachers. Not very successfully and, with nursing in particular, partly due to the Gender pay gap in the work place and low salary.

Although I couldn't give a toss how much Labour charges it's supporters to see JC , I am curious as to how it is decided who exactly is BAME and who isn't BAME ?
Is it purely by visual means or is a more sophisticated , scientific test used . And why is important to them anyway .
Is anyone here " in the know " .

Seems reasonable enough. They're not charging less, they're subsidising the fee. Some elements of this country really have got very nasty since the referendum. Although I suspect some always were.

I hear that this Christmas the word Christmas is banned and nobody will be allowed to win at Sports days anymore.

Put your own spin on it if you want. Imagine opening your guardian or whatever you read and seeing the Tories have done something similar. The likes of you and twatter would go into meltdown. Corbyn does it and it's perfectly fine according to you. Glad you pointed out about racism though because this is racism. Doesn't surprise me coming from the anti-Semitic Labour party.

I can't get too excited about who does or doesn't attend a conference full of anti-Semites and middle-class SJWs pretending to be part of a class war but anyone claiming they aren't charging less doesn't understand basic mathematics. The income to the Labour Party might be the same but the cost to BAME delegates is less. This should help:

cost for white people + (cost for BAME people + subsidy) = income to Labour Party

If you have dark skin, you pay less. I'm struggling to see how anyone can possibly refute this.

Fair point, I'm a dinosaur but did say not very succesfully. I did my Post Grad in Education at the Institute of Education, UCL in the early 90's and Equal Opps was all the rage but lack of male teachers in Primary Schools needed to be addressed. In a career seen as woman's work many options are not viable; paying males higher salaries (a no go here but tried in Australia), Heads recruiting weaker qualified male candidates over stronger female candidates (positive discrimination), or investment in changing perceptions which is unlikely with lack of funding in Education.
