If you mean Ernest (sic) then yes. To be fair, I can't believe he's actually left wing at all. Someone suggested a while back he is the old 'FG' from NSC 1.0. I saw no denial. FG was a silly troll who called Dick Knight 'Dick Tight' and slipped into lazy racism at the drop of a hat, never replied directly to a reply, ever, but was occasionally funny. Who knows? Anyone who calls me a red tory, and who starts pointless political threads that smell of deliberate suicide is not someone I need to read.

The reason I have made a point of commenting when I block people (this is for spence) is partly to make the point, and partly to encourage others: why waste time engaging with people lacking empathy when there are so many decent thoughtful people on NSC with whom to natter? The more people who ignore the trolls, the sooner they will melt.

All the best.

Have to tread carefully just in case i join Looney and Co on your ignore .

I think i have only ever blocked one person. Just don't see the point really. Ernest is staunch left, that's obvious.

The only reasoned argument in all this (I've seen it on here and our own forum) is that it may discourage other black players in reporting racism, which would be a shame.

Finally.

That's all it's about really.

All you can take from the findings is JR isn't a racist and GB isn't a liar. Subsequently there was a very low level "spat" via their press releases, in hindsight both possibly oddly advised in part, but both entitled to speak.

However, very oddly on Saturday (when everyone else was beginning to forget about it) a few fans decided to get it back in the press by:

- Drawing their own conclusion of the case irrespective of the committee's findings.

- Did so for such a long period that even the match commentator on MOTD drew reference to it.

- Did so in defence of a player that doesn't even play for either of the teams associated with the inquiry.

- Drew journalists to ask Hughton questions about the boos in the post match conference in which he offered an honest response irrespective of whether we agree with it or not.

- Exposed further homophobic chanting via post match National Radio phone ins.

- Helped create a mini media storm that has replaced or muddied stories about Burnley's remarkable qualification for Europe.

- Forced the FA to step in to make a statement and re-iterate the findings of the original inquiry.

All of above creates a "post the event" environment where someone wishing to report something may think "nah, too much hassle."

Was it worth it ?

I really thought you were better than that.

You are entitled to boo players that cheat, feign injury or behave like pratts, boo the ref for incompetence or bad decisions and boo other fans for hooliganism or inappropriate chants.

But to boo a player for reporting a racist insult is just so wrong.

Thanks for giving us the permission to boo all the others in the future. I just hope none of them have depression or are one of the minorities.

Your last line says that there is no discussion to be had, you've clearly made up your mind.

Pleased you thought the same about the Dick Tight poster and the tedium of his zzzzz campaign. I met the real Knight a few times. Not a really wealthy bloke, he pumped in £ seven figures into the club, with little prospect of ever getting it back. As did several others who never sought to be in the limelight.

The man has his own (recent thread). I have met him too. Absolute delight. Saved the Albion. The baiting on the old NSC by that troller was ****ing annoying and, if I put on my po face and gown of condescention, was reprehensibly direspectful. FG called in to our undertaker radio presenter about 10 years ago. He sounded late 20s early 30s (so about 40 now) and claimed to be from Haywards Heath. Sounded like an overconfident yet underconfident, too strident, know it all, with low to medium level education, and a desire to mouth off 'controversially' that exceeded his capacity to have anything the **** to say. Actually that could be one of 100 on NSC, including me* when I've been on the sauce :lolol:

*Not really. That is an example of "self-effacing humour", part of the "empathy portfolio" that means absolutely nothing to the people on my banned list. :lolol:

ps, Thunder Bolt - just ban the junior and you will be free. The mistake I made till recently was to give in to the urge to rebut all the numpties. There is no need. The fewer number of sensibles adding pages to their threads the sooner they will get bored and log back on to pornweasel.com :lolol:

Your second paragraph rather contradicts your first and belies any logic in your third, that fans cannot be responsible or put thought into their actions. Most fans have some sort of moral compass and insight into their actions.

As individuals they do.

In a group not so much, and that goes for your lot, our lot, them lot and every other lot.

It certainly wasn't worth it and it's developing as a real stain on this season.

But we'll fight it all the way, because we aren't racist.

I like your posts. I am quite intrigued by your 'Ozalp' thing and looked it up a while back. I won't be nosey and enquire further.

I am quit reactive so blocking is 'safer' ....

If Ernest is really left then I'd be surprised. If he is, he's part of the reason why Labour are not 15% further ahead in the polls (a genuine blinkered Corbyn cheer leader? I could possibly construct a weak defence for Corbyn but I'd not be able to put my heart into it - he is to Labour what Hyppia, Hinchelwood and Woods were to the Albion).

Time to stop beating up this poster. 8th battalion East Lancs is not the problem.

You are not being nosey. A signature is there for all to read and perhaps ask questions. I simply admire Kurdish women who lay down their lives for what they believe in. They are braver than me.

FG football genius, Eblock Erniie, Ernest all variations.

So you are confirming that FG is Ernest? Then I am right - he isn't a lefty but a troll, posting absurd 'leftistism' to make lefties look stupid. If this is actually fact, he should be slung off NSC. This isn't 'Spooks' FFS, it is a football forum!

Well done you have made it much harder for a player to report a racist incident because "you arent racist" have you managed to find the LGBT contact at your club yet and got an answer as to how they felt about some idiots homophobic chants on the day?

He hasnt yet condemned the homophobic chants. Has not considered how the events of the day would have affected LGBT burnley supporters and he has not answered how the black players at Burnley would think of the days events. So I beg to differ.

I know for a fact that there was one homosexual in the same stand as your lot (home end), who was chanting that particular ditty.

It's hard to believe that for 90 odd minutes once or twice a week, real life goes out of the window and is replaced by panto stuff.

The nasty singing about Aberfan to Welsh club fans in the 70's (by lots of different English clubs fans) is one that made me feel sick and actually cry.

If your LGBT fan group comes out and says they joined in with the Bantz! then I will believe you but this reeks of bullshit so I dont especially since you have discovered this "mate" after thinking you needed a loud hailer to find one.

Also Aberfan...you really are trolling now

You're still troubled by the context I see.

You find the post, then find the post that I was replying to, then we'll have a discussion about it.

A friend doesn't call someone..... scum of the earth.

I'm afraid I can't denounce the booing of Bong because then I would have to do it every time we booed other players, refs and other fans.

The only reasoned argument in all this (I've seen it on here and our own forum) is that it may discourage other black players in reporting racism, which would be a shame.

It's an after thought though, and trying to get a set of football fans (whatever their persuasion) to think about what may come after they sing, shout or boo is nigh on impossible.

Do you regret targeting a black player with boos over a racial abuse incident which has been unproven both ways?

Yes or no?

and what are your views on the Burnley fans claiming we were being racist towards your lot?
