In the Argus it says; "The deal has been undone by an apparent last-ditch illegal approach for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder. "

What would constitute an illegal approach?

Offering terms before agreeing a price with the club.

Or Blackmail.

Or Kidnapping.

Sounds like it's down to the player to make a decision. If you were offered better money elsewhere, what would you do?

Yes. 2+2=4 here. That can be the only plausible reason for an unashamed public statement like that.

I'm popping out for lunch for 15 mins. I expect this debarkle to have been sorted one way or the other by the time I return please!

All depends on how much he'll play. With us he'd be gareenteed regular football whereas Norwich are appeasing their fans.

You've never been to Norwich, have you?
It's like the old Norfolk saying:
"Your mother's your father, your sisters your brother"

raw

Albion are well know for keeping their transfer activity close to their chests.

This includes any fee paid for a player.

When a deal is nearing completion the club will send out a press release usually embargoed for a few hours. And for good reason.

Agree with you on this, the next thing we may see is a picture with Pritchard in an Albion shirt.

How would you know about the press release? Are you tapping into Bozza's email account?

Talking to the player without having a bid or a bid accepted.

Plenty of times, it's not so much the place as the people, but it's no Brighton.

A sweeping dismissive judgement of 200,000 people.

Norwich is very like Brighton culturally. Interesting history (once the largest city in the country) and splendid architecture (until some of the 60s planners started pissing around). Respected football club with a local fanbase. All in all, a good place to live. Decent supporters too.
