Went in the new, renovated William IV yesterday and I must say it is an excellent upgrade. Done (i think) by the same designers as the Molly Malone, it's difficult to remember what the old pub was like.
Much busier on a Monday afternoon than it was on a Saturday night it is a great addition to an already excellent choice in this area.
The foods not bad either.
I just wish these designers were involved in the work at the Nelson because that just doesn't work for me, was better before it was done up.

Have they gotten rid of the cretinous bar-staff who didn't know that a Kronenbourg isn't meant to smell like rotten eggs?

Ha, the barman seemed to know what he was doing but could do with smiling a bit, then he was busy.

Long overdue.

The only things it had going for it were that you could always get a seat and if you were up to something you shouldn't have been it was very unlikely anyone would ever be in there to see you.
