We are certainly not short on set piece takers all of a sudden :)
We now only have 2, and nobody has seen either one play live.

Unless of course you're including the shower of shite from last season, that were so bad they even let Dunk kick the ball 5 yards, TWICE.

That was clearly just for a BET!

Skalak's set piece delivery (crosses rather than direct shots) is comfortably the best of any player at the Albion in the last 20 years.

And Knockaert's is decent, too.

As much as I'm being a little obstreperous, I'm not really remembering that many goals from any dead ball situations, last season, let alone direct.

Probably why Poc was allowed to take one.

I'm not sure he was 'allowed' to take one, but 'bullied' Knocky into taking his.

the dead ball situation last season was weird - in the second part of the 1915-16 season Skalak and Knocky were amazing at dead ball deliveries. Our corners last season were always hit to the far post and usually over hit.

2 good ones though by the looks of things, add in Knockaert and we are sorted are we not ?.... a 4th option would be nice but not desperate.

If I were Poc I'd have 'bullied' AK by asking 2 questions:-

How many have you taken?
&
How many have you scored?

"Thought so, now give me the ball".

According to Knocky, he said something in French, but the crowd at Loftus Rd (probably the away fans) that he couldn't hear it, but stepped back anyway.

Well pleased with this signing. Those stats from last season are really impressive, especially in the Bundesliga and when playing for a poor team.

Pretty sure goals from Hemed and Duffy away at Brentford were from dead ball situations. Murray winner at Brum was from a corner. Could probably think of more if I had a moment.

Knocky's corner to Murray at Birmingham in the last minutes of extra time.

I thought Seb Poc's delivery was outstanding when he played last year. Not that we'll retain him this season. For me Skalak is the most overrated of recent times. Can't believed he still gets hype and doesn't provide anywhere near enough chances to be lauded as a set-piece specialist. Each to their own, admittedly, but regarding the last 20 years Paul Watson probably takes that accolade.

Hemed's was from open play, Knockaert crossed it in IIRC.

Yeah, you might be right on the Hemed one. I certainly remember Knocky swinging it in with his left and Hemed's bullet header, but couldn't remember if it was a free kick or open play. Was Duffy goal from a corner?

Can you please refresh my memory of the goals scored direct from free-kicks, other than Pocs?

I genuinely have a terrible memory for this sort of thing, there may well be loads.

Looks to be a good solid signing! I like how we are building a solid spine of the team, lets be hard to break down and break hard n fast ;) like Leicester City when they won the league.

But the spine of the team won't get you goals. I'll put the flags out when at least two quality strikers have been signed up and ideally one more as well.
