Slade in Flame which according to Mark Kermode is the Citizen Kane of British pop movies. Never been much of a cinema goer but that year I also saw Tommy , Jaws, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Rollerball

If we're going back pre teenage years then Saturday morning at The Granada on Portland Road.
My earliest memory of a film was Wizard of Oz when I was about 5. I screamed at the witch, & had to be taken out.

Emanuel in Paris 1974/5 I think. ABC Brighton. Skipped in through the exit doors and hid in the bogs until lights down for next showing. Never been the same since......:)

Use to go Saturday pictures in a green goddess when I was a kid.Packed off with 5DM and a squaddie rct driver,they hated the Saturday run(me old man was there instructor)
First teenage film as I remember was grease,think a stayed and watched it twice :eek:

As a teenager I remember going to see Coming To America whilst on a weekend away in Blackpool! Don't remember it being great to be honest...
First ever film I can remember seeing at the cinema was ET at the Uckfield picture house. Cried the whole journey home! Still gets me now...

A fantastic film that captured the gritty reality of bands at the time. It was slated at the time because everyone expected Slade to do a Beatles/Monkees type film. Noddy and Jim Lea were surprisingly good in their roles, Dave Hill was Dave Hill and Don Powell grunted a lot. I also believe it was Tom Conti's first film appearance.

The soundtrack album (Slade in Flame) is also excellent.

Assuming the question is actually 'first film without an adult (parent) in tow' as I was 10 on release, mine was:-

Got into Sutton 123 to watch Zombie flick Dawn Of The Dead (the original) which was on as a double bill with soft porn classic The Great British Striptease. I think we were 14 at the time and both films were X certificate.
