Their is a page which appears to have shown all the interactions sent to the Gumtree ad, with a somewhat wry 'not me' expression about their involvement.

You're all missing a major point with this dirty cow here.

Would you?

There may be.

The shirt was aimed by Beckford towards the group of children. Is it his intention to pass ownership to one of them (unspecified). It is apparent to all around, no other adult makes a move to take it. It is therefore theirs to determine the ownership.

The individual then moves in and wrestles the shirt away from a boy from the group who wasn't distracted by the stewards intervention. Only he and her are left grappling for the shirt. He then gives up.

The question here is of intended ownership, and it wasn't for her. At one stage, earlier in the video, another adult is caught up in the group but tries to move away, having no intention of taking it. So he understood.

There are grounds for accusation of theft, assuming she is not the Mother of the boy(s) involved.
If beckford can identify who it was for then so be it,but many shirts are thrown to bunches of people and getting the police involved is just pathetic.

The kid with the blond hair catches it, you can see his face light up. The kid with the yellow shirt tries to steal it from him & the woman claims it back for the blond kid who has gone along the aisle that she then goes along. The kid in yellow is the thief
Not many would make a good copper on here....

Doesn't appear, though, that the blond kid was connected to her (later pics show her and her other half with another kid), so looks more like she took it for herself.

I know Beckford was doing a nice thing and had a lot more important stuff on his mind, but would've been better if he'd singled a kid out and handed it to them. The wrestling match between the kids after he tossed it to all of them wasn't nice watching either - a few were always gonna end up disappointed!

Not a major issue though as the main thing was the scheming cow stealing it!
