For the first time in ages we're spoilt for choice. Anyone from Stockdale, Bruno, Stephens, Kayal, Rosenior. My preference - Kayal. He reminds me of Nobby Horton in the way that he drives the team forward, now that is praise indeed!

Bruno, I think - though that might depend on who we bring in. Not Kayal, I don't think - he plays a very intense game, running, tackling, harrying, and maybe the captaincy would dilute that passion. Stockwell? - maybe, but I don't really like GKs as captains. Outside choice? - Goldson; he's got great potential, great composure, and I believe he has captained before, at Shrewsbury?

I like Bruno as captain but I do like the comparison between Kayal and Horton. As I said on another thread, there are a number of similarities between the 1978 and 2016 seasons. If Kayak as captain replicates the 1979 season then I'm in.
