Oh my. Tina Weymouth on Bass was something else. Much more varied than Stewart Copeland on Drums.

One of my favorite songs ever is Talking Heads Heaven, the live version from Stop Making Sense. She plays bass and vocals; sublime.

About half way through the program tonight, really good history of how the guitar has evolved

Nile Rodgers - possibly the greatest guitarist ever.

Well, apart from, say, Mark Knopfler, Eddie van Halen, Uli Roth, Richard Thompson, Jennifer Batten, Bert Jansch, Jeff Beck, Steve Cropper, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher and quite a few others, yes.

Good producer though.

Nile is up there with every one of them

Excellent selection there, not familiar with Jennifer Batten. Privileged to see Richard Thompson at the DWLP a couple of months ago, his "1959 Vincent Black Lightning" is jaw dropping both musically and as a song in its own right.

Selected from an eye wateringly small & predictable set of genres...

Know a drummer who had three girls, called them all Anna!

One Anna Two Anna three.........

Anna one had a sex change and now lives in Spain...change her name to Juan

???? Soft Rock, Hard/Heavy rock x 2, folk/folk rock, Pop/soul/rock, folk, blues rock, soul/r'n'b, heavy rock. blues rock. Seems enough variety there, reggae seems the only obvious omission?
