I've always liked Perch. Was very useful in a number of positions for Newcastle before going to Wigan. I'd be pleased if we signed him.

Will turn 30 in September, but looks to be the sort of player too good for League 1 and Wigan will look to trim costs. That could sort our right-back problem re our chronic lack of pace, but it raises the question if we buy him then why did we also sign Bruno AND Calde?
