I think the best thing to do is accept we have had our lot now. 1 inch for the week. It will all be over by the weekend
Daughter (works at a hospital in Galashiels) got to work at 7am yesterday and hasn't been home since.........knee-deep laying snow, with drifts 10ft plus, no chance of traffic moving at the moment, and currently in the middle of another blizzard................

Storm Emma seems to have pretty much passed us by here in BN1. Quite a bit colder than yesterday, but barely a breathe of wind.

The met office and bbc have been clueless in the whole thing!
BBC just updated their site and taken off all the snow

No it's not. It's not when you have travel somewhere, or actually use your car to do your work. I'm glad we haven't had the snow. That looks like a nightmare.

It has done the opposite in the past but we forget it.
The low is supposed to send out an occluded front towards our area, but the eastern extent is the massive variable. We'll see what it does once it starts crossing the channel, as it will at the very least create a line of showers.
