The club have had since Easter to get the recruitment ball rolling, knowing their PL fate and budget well before Newc, Hudd, Palace, Burnley etc. So no excuses.

They've been working on Gross, Delaney, Renato and others since well before last season began.

Unfortunately it's not crazy at all but the standard now, it's just that Albion aren't willing to do it. You can see how we're falling behind by sticking to it, we'll have to adapt sooner or later however much it irks us.
