That's all well and good, and I applaude Dorking for having the audacity to get snow, but what I want to know is what's the temperature in Newhaven? It was apparently 8C there earlier.

We need pictures of lovely Northern snow. We'll repay the compliment when we get a foot of the stuff next month (this is not a forecast!)

Cloud base about 600 ft lightly snowing at 4 pm.

So can the cloud coving brighton at the moment produce snow,?? Or is it more a moving weather system thing

It's definitely decaying as it heads south. Worthing will miss out, but there's still plenty of precipitation on the part that's heading for Brighton. (and Newhaven)

The current band looks like it is going to just miss Worthing but clip Brighton if it doesnt run out of legs. North of the downs should get some though?
