Anyone had them?

I've a bunnionette that I need correcting and was wondering if anyone had experience with this as the doctor has told me its quite severe and I'll be on bed-rest for two weeks.

No pictures please!

See an Orthopaedic foot and ankle specialist via your GP - it`s highly unlikely to be bed rest (you`re not sick) but would be limited weightbearing and activity status.

My wife had one done in February as it was quite painful for her, it was very painful for quite a while and it was 6 months before it all settled down properly. I have a similar bunion problem but as mine is not hurting there is no way I am having it done. I'll settle for ugly feet.

She may have just been unlucky but the surgeon did warn her it was a painful and long term recovery. She was bed bound for over a week although she could walk with a corrective type shoe from the off.

Sorry if that is not what you want to hear, she may just have been unlucky but she does have a much higher threshold for pain than I do.

What is the difference between a bunion and a bunionette btw?
