OK, back on track with more obscure 80s indy music. I saw this line up in the early 80s in Vancouver. The original singer (on here) is English. I absolutely love Moev. Madeline (the singer) wenty on to form Family Plot with her husband.

Family plot below from 2.30. Brilliant vid. Pretty sure I saw Family Plot and Art Bergman at that festival!

Oh and not all 80s Vancouver music was underproduced....

I saw them a few years earlier when they were more....restrained. Note the total lack of tattoos and camera ****ing phones.

I missed these completely at the time (86 to 93 are my wilderness years). My little brother introduced me. As a lifelong batchelor, he perhaps was hinting at something? I shall never ask him. Anyway this is from the 1980s.

Absolutely loved these chaps first 3 or 4 singles.
Great gig at Sussex university.

Then they had a one hit wonder with a cover of in the country and it all went a bit wonky.

Saw the Farmers Boys many times - part of the ‘Norwich scene’ along with The Higsons. Lead singer used to have a Casio organ on an ironing board. I also have their giveaway postcard somewhere - The Joy of Cress - featuring several cress action shots if I remember correctly
