I've just thought that the next 10 seasons will see Liverpool rake in well over £1billion in PL revenue alone. (probably a lot more) so they will be able to do lots with Anfield now.

Yes, but bear in mind they'll blow the majority of it on junk like Carroll, Ballotelli, Markovic, Lovren, Moreno, Aspas, Sakho, Wijnaldum etc etc

On NSC for over two decades...
Possibly because the land that Spurs will flog off on which their current stadium stands will net them a large fortune whereas who would pay to redevelop the Anfield plot?

Not sure which bit of the current White Hart Lane stadium they could flog off, most of it is going to have the new stadium built on it!

As an aside, at Ashton Gate last season there was the sight of the new Main Stand nearing completion. I thought at the time that when it is full when we go there on November 5th the atmosphere should be amazing (as long as they keep visiting supporters in the same section). I'm really looking forward to this one.
Doubt they'd sell out this season but who knows...They're struggling to get anywhere near selling out and got 21k against villa although 21k is still very good indeed in this division:glare:

This. The sides, where it joins, especially with the Kop, and the Anfield Road end look terrible. Maybe it'll look better if they re-develop the Anfield Rd end but those corners really need looking at.
Tottenham's new stadium looks like it will be superb.

Planning submission for Anfield Road has taken place. FSG are crunching the numbers and talking with external Chinese investors to see if it can be financed. If so capacity will rise to 58,500.

Of the 8,500 extra seats in the Main Stand, over 4,000 are going to hospitality clients, rest split evenly between ST's and day tickets.

Liverpool have one of the lowest %'s of tickets sold to ST fans in the EPL.

Both Anfield and Old Trafford are very messy grounds having their stands built at different times with different designs. I don't fancy a ticket at this seat in the new Liverpool stand though.

Those girders are temporary in the 2nd one Shirley, while they constructed the roof.

The most curious thing..
Anfield is an utter hovel. They should have torn the whole thing down and started again.
LFC can't. They don't have the money, and there is nowhere acceptable in the Liverpool city area to put a new ground, although Everton are likely to move to the north dock area (if the new owners stump up a large fortune), after the Walton Hall park option collapsed (it as never going to be built there anyway). An ideal solution would be a ground share, but Liverpool and Everton will never agree to this. Also Everton couldn't fill a 60k plus stadium.

I think you'll be surprised how rich Liverpool will be in a few year's time. They'll easily be able to expand Anfield. As for Everton they were hosting huge crowds before All-seater stadiums came in ans could again. A new ground will attract more people - look at West Ham, Hull City....and the Albion

It can't be ready yet, there's no padding on the seats.

We're using the same design team and process ( building up and over the existing stand )
At long last, things seem to be moving forward.

Just how far forward are you moving.

Design, planning consent, foundations, completion date?
