Ish...Sadly I’m a very cynical man. Perhaps I’m wrong but have I not seen a picture somewhere with him at the Amex with a Brighton shirt in his hands while chatting with some people?

There’s talking to other clubs and there’s a jilting!

I've seen a picture of him at the Amex 3 years ago when he did jilt us. I hope the fact we are still interested in him after all this time and after turning us down makes him feel wanted.

There's a picture of him doing a tour of the Amex. Loads of photoshopped pictures of him with the shirt though.

If his agent is still in paris I'm thinking be never came to England yesterday. Probably just red tape.

Come on everybody, isn’t this what we wanted?

In the Prem , linked with big money moves , the twist and turns , the excitement , the disappointment , the false rumours .....or are they ?....

Lap it up and enjoy the ride I say .

What will be will be . Nothing we can do about it.

It’s better than being in L2 without a pot to piss in of watching deadline day with tumbleweed blowing through Lancing .

Hitting F5 all day won’t make it happen any quicker .

Personally think that if everything was in place and agreed and agent and player have put the move on hold, whilst they talk to Leicester, that we should withdraw the offer and walk away. Once bitten etc.

I would applaud the club for that and it also sends a message for future negotiations with players and agents.

In this money grabbing and cynical world that we live in wouldn’t it be lovely, if the player and his agent’s aim was purely financial gain, for BOTH clubs to tell them to f*** off. On the basis that player/agent are playing this game purely for greed then we shouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

I hope their intentions are honourable but somehow I think not.

I don’t know. The deadline day of 95 will live long in the memory. There was the amazement of Rotherham paying an actual fee for Junior McDougald. Then we shocked the football world by securing the services of Zeke Rowe until the end of the season on loan from Chelsea.

Drama & intrigue aplenty that year!

Why would you expect a player to do anything but try to get the best deal he can?

Totally agree. I remember being more of a building regulations expert than a football fan awaiting Lord Bracknell's updates on the stadium . Now we are competing to sign a £20 million winger - not too shabby is it?

This, all day long. I woke up at 5.30 this morning and the first thought in my head was 'Have we singed him yet?'

Spot on. It’s brilliant.......

Save all the vitriol for if and when the facts emerge - none of us really have the first clue what’s happening, if/why it’s been held up etc.

Too right , and if he does go to Leicester we can look forward to 48hrs of Classic NSC meltdown, which I’ll proudly take part in [emoji1303]

Apart from Dutch media...what other sources do we have about him joining us? It only takes his agent to give a name to their press and from there it snowballs! Not once has it been reported on sky! I for one don’t think he’s worth £20m but hey I’m not footing the bill!

Clearly you hadn't woken up properly.

Anxiety dreams. Earlier I had a dream that when I went round my house (I'm having an extension built) the builder was clocking off for the day, and left me his fully grown adult panther to look after while he put his tools in his van, and you can guess the rest.

Someone from sky sports tweeted last night I believe. Who knows at this point though...

Indeed. Ten years ago, we were still at the Withdean, and our summer signings included Kevin McLeod from Colchester, Colin Hawkins from Coventry, and David Livermore form Hull. Be still my beating heart!

Perspective, people, please.
