Kind of trapped with towns trying to move forward but not having the infrastructure to cope. We can only hope newhaven and peacehaven get a proper bypass one day. Seaford has quite a high proportion of elderly people and when the trains are on strike the train service often diappears. I've heard the traffic on the A259 into B'ton can be a pain. On the other hand it has a proper shingle beach.
Newhaven town centre is cut off and blighted by the A259 ring road and I'd be amazed if it ever recovers. There is a good community centre in an old primary school and it's handy for the ferry. The Fort is worth a visit.
