The rules are there to administer the game and to protect everbody. To have reached that final they would have had to be reasonably good so probably rather than just a bunch of lads playing the game, as it is made to appear, were in fact players who play at a good level. As per the better teams in the Sussex Sunday League.
Jeez, what do you do in your leisure time? Pull the legs off spiders?

I run a junior Sunday league side and we get fined if we don't start the name on a team sheet with a Capitol letter, we are volunteers that give up a lot of our spare time so the kids can play football

Ridiculous rules. Lots of jobworths in this thread. Disappointing. No wonder football is crap in this country. Too much organisational interference from the top downwards.

But surely common sense must come into play.

then what would be the point of rules? they only exist because "common sence" seldom works.

If they fold the fine will be split equally amongst all registered players and officials who will be banned until they have paid their share

You state that as is you know for fact. The truth is I doubt you have read their club constitution which will explain how any debt on winding up is to be paid. Yes, some clubs' constitutions state it will be shared by the membership, but others [I've been a member of] specifically state it won't.

Do you really know for sure?
Or are you just claiming all knowledge of all things [again]?

They are still a pub side playing for the love of the game regardless of how good they are. I played too a good level 20 years ago but it was park football, we used to finish a game and go to the pub for a few pints. This whole fine thing smacks of a money making exercise by whichever local FA imposed the fine, totally disgusting and ruining the game for normal people who just want to play a few matches with some mates to keep fit, have a laugh and socialise.

And as if to prove the point how can anyone justify a fine for something so trivial. It's bad enough when you are punishing a bunch of lads wanting to play but to punish a kids side like that is quite frankly a piss take.

Shocking, what sort of people make up this type of rule?

If it won't get you in trouble or a fine  can you name what age group this is?

Thanks, people like yourself do a good job and shouldn't be treated like that because of a capital letter, I think some people that run the leagues and make up the rules need to help youth team managers/ coaches not hinder them.

We have to buy PVC tape for one of my sons football socks, oh and it must be the same colour as the socks.

The rules are so stupid a fine for this a fine for that. I enjoy doing it so I put up with it, we won a tournament in May and the delight on the kids faces makes up for any fine we get

If it is the Welsh FA the paperwork for the fine will probably come through in a few years...
