Great catch by Amendola. Let's see what Bortles can do with 2:48 left.

Just a bridge too far for the Jags. Still, a great season and they've done the AFC South proud.

But Brady and the Pats always seems to find a way to win.

Here's hoping the 2nd game is as good as the first.

Eagles handing out a total shellacking here. Which is really rather nice.

Gutted for the Jags, but had a great season. You always knew that the Pats would come back to win, it's just what they do.

They went out to 5/1 on Betfair after the Jags kicked their FG to go 20/10 up, and then when they got that fumble it went out even further.

Then Brady probably proved just why he is labelled the GOAT with that play at 3rd and 18. If they don't make the yards there, the game is over. But then Brady IS the GOAT...

Foles was throwing Hail Mary bombs last night...but only because the defence gave him time...just as important as the glamour boys.

The match up between the all time great Brady and the second stringer Foles will be fascinating.

If the eagles play like they did yesterday when they blew the vikings away, the Super Bowl will be heading to Philli!

Just need the phillies to get their act together now.

Really gutted the Pats & Eagles have got to the big show. Dont like either team at all, so not sure I'll bother watching this year.
At least I can get an early night and still enjoy my day off on the Monday )

Shame the interception by thge Jags was blown down - would have good for the Jags to be able to run it in. Bortles needs to really stay cool here.

That’s the most frustrating part, let Jack go and then review the play, why call it dead at that time?
It takes some doing to go to Foxboro and have more rushing yards, more possession, more turnovers, more sacks and still lose. Brady only had 25 yards more passing than Bortles. Painful end to the game as everyone knew it was coming.

Whilst everyone will talk about that fumble/interception, in truth your last sentence is what ought to be talked about - we knew what was coming. And being specific, something happened a few plays later that we didn't know was coming - the Jags stopped a Pats drive when a TD seemed inevitable. But what did they do with possession from their own 10? They tried to run the ball on the first down, then attempt a throw on the second. Exactly what everyone knew they'd do, including the Pats defence. It was predictable and poor, and led to a punt that was returned right back to their own 30 yard line. Had they been able to drive down the field at that point, they'd have left the Pats with a lot more to do and also left a lot less time to do it in.

Can’t disagree. Hackett’s play calling in the first half was excellent, the Patriots simply had no idea what we were going to do, in the second half he reverted to the transparent plays that have cost us too many times. That pass break up by Gilmore on the last Jags play was a sight to behold, sadly.
