Avoiding Heathrow T3 Short Term Parking

Anyone any experience of doing this - To reduce rip-off short term parking costs 'apparently' you can take a first left off the entry roundabout (with Emirates Airbus model) onto the Hatton Cross eastern perimeter road, where you can wait up anywhere that isn't doubles yellows or zoned 'high speed' and then once your passengers have come through you can go do the pick up, paying for whatever short term parking you need, or doing a direct pick up from outside. You're not supposed to do this obviously.

Thanks in advance

I can't think of any legal parking areas on any of the perimeter roads.

Why not just grab a coffee at Maccy D's whilst you wait for your call, on The Bath Road (A4)?

There is a place on the Stockley by pass, just of the M4, where people do park, waiting for the call forward, but it's limited, depends on time of day.
