The bait was, had the club not spent 3 weeks going from £8m to £10m with their offer, they could have had 3 weeks longer assessing the medical situation.
That'll be the same amount of time Zurich have had to come to the conclusion RD is fit to play while being monitored

.

SB - the club should have had a 3 week medical ? And then would have concluded he was "fit to play" !!

How about he had a thorough medical , we detected the health issue and thus the transfer because of the size of the fee could not go ahead.

And that's it.

Yet you keep arguing that the club should have done this, that or the other instead. And we should have signed him.

Anything feasible or is all just "bait" and a wind up. ?

Is his point not that we lost 3 weeks by negotiating over £2M and were then forced into panic buy mode as there was no time left?

how come this condition wasn't picked up, by his own club / GP?

It was though. In his medical for Zurich but they felt it wasnt an issue. Perhaps thats the case and insurance wasnt so much of a problem for them on a player costing 250k. For us we were doing medical checks on a player we would need to insure as an asset at 10 million

Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena made a return to action on Wednesday for FC Zurich in the Swiss Super League after being cleared to play again following a scary failed medical at Brighton Hove & Albion.

The 24-year-old was introduced in the 68th minute to replace Roberto Rodriguez as FC Zurich who drew 1-1 at Lausanne.

He is now in line to resume his career after doubts about his health following the Brighton incident.

Dwamena received good news from team doctors last Thursday after running several tests relating to a heart condition.

I reckon that the transfer was aborted because of

1) The inherent situation (Obviously)

but primarily

2) The lack of time - No chance of finalising it within the remaining timescale of the transfer window !

"bait" is the answer. a perma-resident and perma-cock on NSC. this place would be better without his BG levels of posting, i wonder why some posters feel the need to be all over NSC?
