Don't bother with Lewes if you actually want to feel like you are attending a football match. Decent pubs and that but very odd feeling if go there pre match.

Lot of Burnley will head for weatherspoons straight down from the station so if want a rowdy pub then head there.

Otherwise , as mentioned turn left outside station ( under pass ) , lots of options not far from there.

Bell and grand central by station strictly home fans only , not sure on the others.

You nee to be in the queue for the train to the Amex by 2pm to beable to get there an be able to enjoy a pint at stadium.

Post match , hang about for a couple then get the train back and repeat the above or just head straight down the station towards sea and have a look about

https://www.caxtonarms.co.uk/ appears to be a self-appointed away pub these days.

Well, in 2 years of going to the Caxton pre-match, it was only the last home game where I'd seen away fans, and we couldn't get in.

Not seen any away fans prior to that.

Hope that it isn't going to be earmarked on some away fans website, and please let no one else post links to away fans for it!!!

If you're staying in Brighton, and it's likely you are, then I'm not sure you'd not want to head over to Lewes pre-match when there is such a wealth of decent places close to Brighton station.

Assuming that to be the case CricketFieldEnd - stay in the vicinity of Brighton station pre-match. Decent places includes the Battle of Trafalgar, Prince Albert, Sussex Yeoman and the Lord Nelson - all just a few minutes from the station, but there are loads more.

Get to the station by 2pm as there will be a queueing system for trains to Falmer, which is right next to the ground. You don't need to pay - it's included in your match ticket.

Post-match - stay behind for a bit and let the train queue back to Brighton recede. The bar in your end will be open, but so are the bars in the Albion ends, which you're welcome to use as well. After a couple of pints or so, you shouldn't have to wait too long for a train to take you back.

They’re going to be a bit early!!!

We're stopping in a hotel up by 'Western Lawns', so plan to be there about lunchtime on Saturday, head to Brighton centre and have a beer or two there, then get thre train up to Falmer from there. Some handy recommendations, certainly for the train too, cheers guys.

Every time we've played Burnley at the Amex I've seen issues between the some sets of fans from both sides.

Every other week its generally fine

Plus if Bong plays the slack jawed, pond dwelling, dribbling, big eared, FAT, hillbilly, toothless, hairy, jobless trogladytes that make up 99.9% of Burnley's support won't be able to contain themselves and will boo him.

God I hate stereotyping and intolerance.
