To both lesser and very arguable extents I give you Adam Virgo and Dean Hammond

Forgot about them. Just about acceptable.

So apart from Peter Ward and Dean Wilkins and Steve Foster and John Byrne and Jimmy Case and Adam Virgo and Dean Hammond and Steve Sidwell and Bobby Zamora and Glenn Murray, when has re-signing or loaning an old player ever worked for us?

FFS we are supposed to be "competing" with the likes of Manchester City, Manure, Arsenal, Spurs etc, NOT Bristol City and Fulham. Some people need to see how far we can fall if we screw this up.

The teams that fell the furthest and the hardest are the teams that thought that they had to spend to compete with Man City, United, Arsenal & Spurs etc. It's obvious that, for the next few months at least, we are actually competing with Swansea, Stoke, West Brom, Bournemouth, Southampton, Palace, West Ham, Watford, Newcastle & Huddersfield. Three of us will be relegated and will be competing against the Championship sides you deride. Three of the Championship sides will replace them and compete with the Premier League chaff. The top six will continue in their own little league regardless.

I think Ulloa is an improvement on what we currently have. If he is good enough to score the goals to keep us up, is another matter. I like Ulloa, but I'd like to see better coming in, if I'm honest. In our current predicament.

Sorry you’re wrong. He’s either shit and you’re furious or he’s the savior and you’re wetting your knickers.

No other options exist.

I believe he was revealed as having some cash hidden away in the Panama Papers leak, so could give useful tax planning advice to Murray.

Some people need to expand their horizons.

We’re still ONLY Brighton though. We’re not going to be signing true world beaters. Ulloa is a decent player who (like Murray) finishes chances well. When Murray is out Hemed has not done well. Ulloa would be an ideal addition if Tony thinks he can get a good deal.

It’s the returning managers who’ve let us down, neither Mullary or Adams were any good second time around.

Ulloa on loan would be a much welcomed upgrade on Hemed, who would under normal circumstances have been shipped out down a level were it not for the Albion's Summer transfer window falling apart at the seams through no fault (well not much anyway) of their own.

£8 million from Reading would have been tasty were it not for Murray not being 100% to begin with and Baldock being crocked, leaving us with one and a half strikers for the first month. Hemed works hard to be fair and I like him a lot as a character and (in the Championship) as a player, but it's clear to see this league is a step too far for him, he needs a good 10 or so chances just to score one
