[Albion] Leaving early

Lancing

I remember a few of us getting escorted out of the Shrewsbury home end and being taken down the the side of the pitch to the far end. The ball came across and my mate Charlie ran on, trapped the ball and nutmegged the defender, ran around him picked the ball up and handed it back and said easy. We were in hysterics home fans going mental. Must of been mid 70's.

Ha ha these threads are gold. I think it’s great people get ‘embarrassed’ and genuinely believe a footballer on 50k per week gives a toss if 42 year old Alan with his replica shirt on is clapping him off at the end.

Footballs changed, get over it!

Shocking sense of entitlement by WHUFC 'fans'. Sadly have little doubt that the Albion's new-found fanbase will behave much the same at the slightest whiff of a downturn in the club's fortunes. These people are always easy to identify. They start drifting out from 80 minutes onwards

JLE basher wrong again.
I have been going to the Albion all my life. Leave early often.
Even left at half time during one game at Gillingham when we were 3-0 down. We didn't win 4-3 by the way.

Just watched West Ham v ManC.

The home sections were 80% empty for the last 10 minutes plus stoppage time.

I can't remember anything like that before. Far 'worse' than the Amex, Etihad, Emirates.

Unhappy times @ WHU.
Yeah, but West Ham were shit and were losing 4-1. That's why people leave early: like booing it's the time-honoured way of showing your frustration and disappointment with your team. There's no other reason for leaving early as all true fans know.

Yep, not a great example to choose. If that was the Amex, us 1-4 down, it would be 101% empty by full time...probably.

Wasn't when getting hammered to Liverpool and Chelsea, no where near to the extent of the near empty Olympic Stadium today.

On their 4:1 ratio of early leavers:stayers, whinging stayers on NSC would be drowned out by those with the opposing view.

No one does it better than a West Ham supporter
