This is in fact true. It should only be a goal when the ball actually hits the net. As for Refs helping clubs near the bottom of the league. So wrong and shouldn't be allowed. Explains why they lost to us, Huddersfield and West Brom I guess.

Good Friday 2012 was the last time - I had the misfortune to be there. Our keyboard infantry certainly had plenty to say about your grubby little fans, your equally squalid team and revoltingly smug manager but we were mostly introspective and critical of Gus, team selection, tactics and the like. The overall mood was one of 'nearly but not quite', 'better luck next year' and a collective wonder at how far we had come in our first Amex season.
