Blocked nose, sore throat, stinging eyes.

I have cold beer in the fridge (Stella). I have red wine.

So, beer or red wine or both?

Either a teaspoon of olive oil with some lime juice which clings to the throat nicely or
a mug of hot water with lemon juice and fresh ginger infused, works for me

Where the f do I get fresh ginger from at ten past eight on a Tuesday night? :lolol:

I'm in darkest rural north Essex / south Cambridgeshire. Would sugar beet be an acceptable substitute?

Double shot of whisky with a big squirt of lemon juice, two sugars and then top up with boiling water. Drink as hot as possible.
Repeat as often as necessary.

**** load for spirits, whatever is your poison. OK so it may just mask the illness with a hangover but then you just move on to treating those symptoms with bacon

Bad head - vinegar and brown paper
Cold - put a jumper on; too early for the heating
