If you value sound to go with a decent TV, nip down to Richer Sounds and have a look at AV Receivers and a decent set of surround sound speakers, particularly if you like your movies.

Interesting.... I wondered why I had trouble finding exact comparisons when walking around PC world. Sounds a bit suspicious. So you'd recommend going to richer sounds as they'd have the proper models?

Not always the case, but I have seen examples of laptops and TVs with very small part number differences, lower specs selling at the same price.

Just see Aldi Special buy 'luxury' 49" 4K 'Bahun' tv for £329...

I do like Aldi, but not sure about Bahun? Anyone got one of these?

Sound quality seems to be an issue. There are many good deals around at the moment, not as cheap as this but there are some real quality TVs available for not a lot of money.

At the cheaper end of the market argos have a 49" bush 4k ultra HD smart tv for £279, I have this tv in my bedroom but rebadged as an Hitachi. I cannot fault it, perfectly good tv and cheaper thqn the one at aldis. Always found argos to be good with problems as well

On the whole, you get what you pay for. If you go for the cheap downmarket brands (Bush, Alba, something-you've-never-heard-of) its highly likely to be bobbins. I don't mind so much if its only a smaller TV for upstairs, but for the main one in the front room, personally I'd never go down the cheapo route. Especially as you can get a very decent brand these days for not much more than £500.

Yep, if you are chucking it in the bedroom or for the kids etc its a winner. But spend a bit more on your lounge PC.
