Michael Moore said it better. To clarify the video, it is cut out of context to make it appear as if Moore is blowing trumps rusty trumpet but it's cut from a longer speech about why Moore thought Trump was going to get a lot more votes than the Pollsters were saying.

Pretty much the same analogy for the vote for brexit, people felt they had nothing left to lose and when the Tory Boys said " We Are better in Europe " it was a chance to stick two fingers up. When you have lost so much hope and seem to have nothing to live for, then, you have something to die for. Obviously they never thought out the consequences of their vote but , hey ho, that's what Americans are going to have to live through for the next 4 years.

They only have to suffer for 4 years whereas due to the leave vote here we have to suffer forever and a day.

I think a lot of regular people are constantly looking at the news and seeing these liberals in the US talk and act in often violent and lawless ways and they have decided enough is enough and voted for the party whose rank and file members aren't constantly in the news for doing such things.

You have a point. I remember the riots around Croydon, the Lefties that caused trouble around the Cenataph etc, they are violent, the SWP and such like.
I think the result in the UK and the US has proved the majority have had enough..... just an opinion tho.

It's the willingness to turn to violence and destruction and then try and justify it through some stupid reasoning that makes no sense to the average person on the street.

Like the other day when that alt-right guy was king hit on the street by a masked left wing extremist. Sure the alt right guy is a dick and says a lot of garbage, but that does not give the left a licence to incite violence against someone because of their opinion.

When people see that kind of action on busy city street even if people aren't supportive of the alt right movement it does says to people well the alt right might be bad, but the guy and the ideals he supports are worse.

And that's how it also works at higher levels and why despite the shit Trump spoke, it was Hilary's actions that spoke louder than Trumps words.

Heard sky news saying there was hardly any Trump supporters there...where were these massive gaps in the crowds then because from what i could make (and my wife as well) the streets looked to be heaving !!. .

In the scheme of things a tiny little white lie like this is irrelevant and can be wavered, but to have parts of the media make up all sorts of stories in order to feed and promote their own filthy driven agenda when in fact they are supposed to be impartial has to be wrong...especially when those stories could have consequences !!. not the first time they have been seen to be telling porkies either.

That's your opinion rather than fact. You seem to be proving the quote in the OP correct. We need to return to genuine political debate and turn back from this kind of overly dramatic assertion. I blame the internet. I think it ironic that Trump is rightly criticized for extreme language but often by people who employ extreme language on the other side of the 'debate.'

Believe it or not I am not criticising people who support Trump in this instance (although I vehemently disagree with them). My problem is with people on both sides of the Atlantic who would rather protest after something goes against them then try and change the outcome beforehand.
