Word is that Izquierdo won't play, or certainly won't start, in Paris tonight. Better chance of playing against the Aussies.

Interesting talking to a couple of Colombian journos about him. They know all about him and rate him, but there are about five options on that left wing and he will be lucky to make the cut as the coach, Pekerman, is generally loyal to those that have done well. Fingers crossed.

This Colombia squad is viewed as the best since the Valderrama team of the mid-1990s but unlike that one this lot are a lot are considered more professional and aren't on the piss/shagging everything that moves the whole time.
