I enjoy a ride on the cable car across the Thames from the O2 to the north side of the river especially following a trip on a river bus to the O2.

Yes - Phoenix Firebird. Have you run any marathons with Phoenix?
I have done quite a few - always go back when I have ran out of fredo bars :0)

Did one last least year, all very sociable and friendly. Was on the 'short' out and back route but it was OK....although I missed the turn on the second leg and did an extra mile

Tate Modern - access to the viewing platform is free
Check out some of the theatre sites for cheap offers, I know both the National and the Donmar has these, and of course the booth in Leicester Square.
For an evening meal you could do worse that try one of the branches of Tas - a small chain of Turkish restaurants that has never disappointed for quality of food and service, and atmosphere.

River Thames boat trip from Westminster to Greenwich

We did this a few years ago. We got a buy one get one free, Red Rover, with our train tickets. It was £15 and you can get on and off the boat all day. Stops include the London Eye, and Tower Bridge as well as Greenwich. It might be a bit cold at this time of the year.
