That Birmingham game will be a nice "look at what you could've won" for Stockdale, as they ramp up their preparation for another second division relegation scrap.

I think he's transfer listed so may well be gone by then.

He's got 2 years left on his contract there. If thats the case, it'll be interesting to see who (if anyone) picks that up, and how much he goes for. Another middling Championship club I'd guess, or one of those grim northern ones that've just come back up.

Any predictions/inside info on the showpiece home friendly?

I’m gonna go French. Lyon, Marseilles or Monaco I reckon. We usually go Spanish, don’t we?

In fact, can anyone with better memory than me remember each of the showpiece friendlies at the Amex?

Spurs
Chelsea
Villarreal?
Valencia

Saturday July 14 Kick-off: ? @ FC St Gallen (Venue: Kybunpark?)

Same day as the world cup 3rd place game which kicks off at 16:00 UK (17:00 CEST) so likely to be early(ish).

Where's a better place to stay ? In St Gallen, Zurich or somewhere else ?

Never know why they bother playing this game (actually I do, money as always) but I never have any interest in this fixture, even when England played in it, it was the same night as Hastings beer festival, that got the nod.

Might be worth looking just across the border in Austria as it's about an hour by public transport and Swiss hotels are silly expensive; that said I have no idea if Austria is cheaper.
