The former Olympic stadium would be one of the highest targets if the security threat was real. West Ham do not ban flasks, it's a bogus excuse by the club to squeeze more revenue out of the the individual fan

I think that's maybe my point. It just feels like we're losing our heart and soul a bit. They're not big things, as Edna pointed out, but it just feels like we've reached the big leagues and the club's attitude is to now rinse us for all we're worth in the knowledge that we're replaceable as long as we're at the top table still. I appreciate others don't agree with this view and I appreciate they think that some of us are overreacting, but that's personally how I feel. The sad thing is, it'll be the likes of myself that will still be there if we get relegated - basically I just feel a bit nostalgic and miss the times when it was clear that the club put the fans at the heart of what it was doing. But others are entitled to disagree with this view.

I'd suggest Old Trafford is a bigger target. Higher capacity, more people, more recognisable.
Can't even take a Capri Sun or an iPad into there.

That sounds like one of those awful courses which were compulsory, and you just sat watching the clock until the next break. I'm sure it has a useful purpose, but it sounds missable.

You can't take a small handbag or similar into Old Trafford. I had to try and fit my normal things into various pockets instead of taking a small rucksack.
No bottles at all, and tops removed at the point of sale.

Well, I hear this argument a lot. Because there is no existential threat to the club, hence the club can do what it likes to the fans with no consultation on their wishes.
But actually the process of saving the club 20 years ago did bring a by-product of a closer consultative relationship between club management and fan, it was a good by-product that helps all. Regardless of our political disagreements, I would have thought it a shame from your point of view of traditions that it has been lost or at least substantially eroded?
It is better now than it has ever been in 20 years.
At The Withdean unless you were part of the cool committee enjoying tea and biscuits in Portacabin there was no opportunity to be heard. Partly this is due to technology, social media but we have much better access to the club and wider number of people than we ever did

The fact that you have chosen only to reply to the squabble one rather than the one about the subject matter says a lot about you and your right to the moral high ground on this one.

Wrap a freshly grilled cheese toastie in foil and stick that down your draws pre match to keep it warm, then when you visit the ladies' at half time, you can whip it out and have a munch on it to warm you up.

Implementation of safety measures is done on a basis of reasonable practicability. Banning coins is not reasonably practicable for obvious reasons.

I still don't understand the need, if I had an issue with the club I'd:-
Write you the CEO - who will reply.
I'd attend the fans forum - with the owner and CEO.
I'd go to a 'seagulls over' event.
I'd ask a question through the clubs social media.
Or perhaps through something like Roar.
I guess I could speak to the owner on the way back from x (not that I ever would).
It's not as if we aren't well served by the club.
